Med Tech/Caregiver Summers Landing ALF 615 Florida Avenue, Lynn Haven, FL 32444 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. Applicants with a history of serial absenteeism need not apply. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and home care environments. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, anatomy, and physiology, along with the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of patients. Responsibilities Assist in the administration of medications as prescribed by healthcare providers. Provide catheter care and support for patients requiring specialized medical attention. Conduct routine health assessments and monitor patient vital signs. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with nurses and other medical staff to develop and implement patient care plans. Support memory care initiatives for patients with cognitive impairments. Ensure cleanliness and organization of medical office or treatment areas. Educate patients and families on health management practices and procedures. Experience Previous experience in a medical office, hospital, or nursing home setting is preferred. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy is essential for effective patient care. Experience with medication administration and catheter care is highly desirable. Familiarity with home care practices will be an advantage. Strong communication skills are necessary for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
