Responsibilities Provide care to patients under thedirection of a registered nurse or physician, functioning withinscope of license. Contribute to the assessment of patients and assure thewell-being of patients. Administer medications and observe patients for adversereactions to medications or treatments. Perform laboratory tests and therapeutic services. Educate patients/families about disease treatment planincluding self care post discharge, holistic health needs,available resources and follow up care.

Requirements Licensure /Certification /

Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date orjob transfer date required. American Heart Association or AmericanRed Cross accepted. One or more of the following required: Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from theFlorida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date.

Valid state license required specific to the state inwhich the associate works. Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from theAlabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date. Valid state license required specific to the statein which the associate works.

Education:

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicablecumulative job specific experience required.

Note:

Required professional licensure/certification can be usedin lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

AdditionalPreferences 2 years of LPN experience is preferred. Phone nurse experience is preferred.
