LPN/RN Weekend Warrior Specialty Health and Rehabilitation Center 6984 Pine Forest Road, Pensacola, FL 32526 Weekend Warrior NURSE Scheduled Every Weekend- you pick the shift 7-3 and 3-11 3-11 and 11-7 11-7 and 7-3 The Licensed Practical Nurse or RN will work with both residents and their families to ensure these individuals and their needs are provided for. This position has fast-paced and exciting aspects, including providing patients with daily routine care, improving the rehabilitation process and managing a team of caregivers. Responsibilities:
Direct the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care center. Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and as required by center policy. Assist in the nursing portion of residents’ admissions or discharges as required. Prevent disease transmission and/or infection. Provide comfort to residents and family members during difficult times. .Work as part of a team. Maintain a working knowledge of and ensure compliance with all governmental regulations. Create an environment that is warm, caring, helpful, and healing for the residents.
Qualifications:
Must be licensed or registered in the state of Florida. Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance as required (every other weekend is required). Must meet all local health regulations and pass post-employment exam, if required. Related administrative experience at a level necessary to accomplish this position. Management or supervisory experience is helpful.
Physical demands and environment:
Frequent walking, reaching, climbing, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing, and pulling. Must be capable of performing the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to communicate and relate positively and favorably to residents, families, and outside agencies and to work cooperatively with other associates. Ability to remain calm under stress. Understand, comply with, and promote rules regarding residents’ rights. Maintain an orderly, confidential, and safe work environment. Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
