Assistant Director of Nursing Position Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Clinical Support Staff Nurse in a group home setting. This role is vital in providing quality clinical oversight and support for individuals with developmental and medical needs— without staff management responsibilities . You’ll work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure compliance, quality care, and safety standards across assigned group homes. Key Responsibilities Clinical Support & Oversight Monitor the health status of residents and promptly report changes. Provide direct nursing care including assessments, medication administration, and emergency response. Ensure all medical documentation is accurate, timely, and HIPAA-compliant. Perform routine clinical rounds at assigned homes— must have reliable transportation. Maintain and update patient charts, shift reports, and incident reports. Staff Training & Compliance Educate and train direct care staff on individual health plans and related protocols. Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of medications and supplies. Promote and monitor infection control and universal precautions. Support compliance with APD, DCF, FDOH, and OSHA standards. Administrative Tasks Coordinate medical appointments, lab work, and transportation. Review and contribute to care plans in collaboration with the nursing and support team. Maintain inventory and readiness of medical supplies in group homes. Respond to after-hours emergencies when on-call and follow protocol. Requirements Active LPN or RN license in the state of Florida (required) Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) Minimum 2 years of clinical leadership experience (lead/supervisor/floor nurse) in a healthcare or group home setting Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or complex medical needs (vents, trachs, G-tubes preferred) Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally as needed Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in group homes, behavioral health, or long-term care Familiarity with Florida Medicaid waiver programs and regulatory standards Work Environment This position is hands-on and conducted in residential group homes. You will interact with consumers and support staff daily and may travel between multiple locations. Pay & Benefits Competitive pay: $30
