Shift Time
This position is an overnight shift from 6:00pm to 6:00am on Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday.
Responsibilities
Comply with nursing policies and procedures to ensure nursing standards are met. Promotes optimal client health Administer medications and treatments per physician’s orders and in accordance with state and federal guidelines
Administer medications via all routes, unrestricted, including controlled substances Must be able to assist clients with all health and medical devices, including, but not limited to, eyeglasses, hearing devices, tracheotomies, G/J tubes, colostomies, urostomies, apnea monitors, CPAP machines, ventilators, oxygen, oxygen concentrators, nebulizer machines, suction devices, suctioning toothbrushes, etc. Monitors persons served for seizures, medication side effects, signs, and symptoms of illness, and provides necessary nursing interventions Informs Director of Nursing (DON) and/or physician of health status change/accidents and injuries of persons served Completes all required documentation including, but not limited to, nurses notes, tracking forms, charting, incident reports, monthly/quarterly reports
Ensures client’s mealtime procedures and therapeutic positioning procedures, including client transfers, are followed Ensures Infection Control Policies and Procedures are followed Reports to work for scheduled shifts. May be scheduled to work other shifts, Holidays, and weekends to provide nursing coverage Completes all other duties as assigned Qualifications Graduation from an accredited school for Licensed Practical Nurses/Registered Nurses required Current unrestricted state of Florida Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse license required
Florida Driver’s License with no more than two moving violations in the past three years
Able to work in the US and not require Visa Sponsorship from our company now or in the future
Effectively communicate at all levels, write, and speak English using acceptable grammar, punctuation, and spelling, understand and follow multi-steps written and verbal instructions
Proficiently use a computer and electronic medical records
