LPN – new position (weekdays, hourly/non-exempt, flexible part-time schedule) Gulf Coast Memory Care 22900 Lyden Drive, Estero, FL 33928 Job Overview Developing a new LPN position (weekdays, hourly/non-exempt, flexible part-time schedule); seeking a passionate nurse to coordinate healthcare services for residents with memory care needs and support staff in care delivery. The Licensed Practical Nurse reports to and is directed by the Director of Healthcare. Duties Monitors residents’ safety, seeks assistance in emergencies, and performs established notification procedures during emergency situations. Takes and records, at predetermined intervals, vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, and blood pressure, and measures intake as needed. Processes and implements physicians’ orders accurately and promptly, using nursing judgment. Communicates changes of residents’ conditions, status, and questions/challenges with community leadership and their responsible party. Prepares, administers, and charts the administration of prescribed medications, documents effectiveness and adverse reactions. Maintains and monitors MORs and eMORs daily and ensures accuracy. Ensures personal comfort of residents during bathing, cleaning, feeding, bed rest, and all other activities. Works cooperatively with management and care team members, maintains effective interdepartmental and interpersonal relations with residents, staff, families, third-party healthcare personnel, and visitors. Ensures all resident documentation is complete and current while maintaining the standards set by the state and the company. Participates in all new resident admissions. Performs other administrative duties such as answering phones and other related duties Qualifications Valid LPN license in Florida. Experience working with individuals with Memory Care needs is preferred. Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward the elderly. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Demonstrates appropriate judgment skills to make independent clinical decisions in routine and emergency resident care matters. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals in sensitive and confidential situations.
