$1800.00 Department Details Experienced LPNs come join the Solutions By Sanford Long Term Careteam! We are looking for LPN’s with at least two years of experience andat least one year of travel experience to join our team. You mustlive at least 60 miles from the location you are applying for. Youwill be paid weekly, your stipend is included in the weekly payrate. You will also be eligible for Sanford Benefits. You will berequired to work at any Good Samaritan Society site within the areayou support (Area one is ND,SD, and MN or Area two is CO, IA, KS,and NE). Contracts are 6, 8, or 13 weeks with the option to extendor go to another Good Samaritan Society site! Job Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursingcare for residents of all ages in long term care, under thesupervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, orphysician. Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for theresident in the relevant clinical setting. Demonstrates competencyand practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledgeand utilizes appropriate age and population specific standardsrelated to the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident asper care plan. Possess the ability to perform testing to evaluatedata reflective of the resident’s status and to provide the careneeded. Demonstrates ability to recognize problems, recommendsolutions and respond effectively to assist in an emergentsituation. Ensures the health, comfort and safety of residents. Contributes tothe assessment of residents and administers medications ortreatments as ordered. Provides technical support to healthcareprofessionals as needed. Documents resident interactions as neededand the outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior,activity, and dietary. Skilled in establishing and maintainingeffective working relationships with resident, health careproviders, and the public. Ability to work effectively withprofessional and supportive personnel as a member of aninterdisciplinary care team. Ability to communicate clearly andmaintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Counselsresidents, family members and/or resident advocate, under thedirection of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider orphysician on prevention and treatment plans. Knowledge of residenteducation principles to develop a self-care program. Performs otherrelated duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a LicensedPractical Nurse. Associate degree in practical nursing ispreferred. If position requires IV therapy/management skills, the following isrequired in
North Dakota:
graduation from a Board approved AASPNprogram where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion ofan IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board ofNursing. Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that includedsupervised clinical experience across the life span as part of thecurriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPNat another facility. Specific services/positions may haveadditional education, training or experience requirements. Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-statelicensure privileges. Obtains and subsequently maintains requireddepartment specific competencies and certifications. Completesrequired annual continuing education units (CEU) and competencytraining requirements of the department and facility.
