We are currently seeking a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dedicated

NIGHT SHIFT

team in Fort Myers, FL. As an LPN at White Sands, you’ll play a vital role in our patients medical care and recovery journey. You’ll collaborate closely with our clinical team, providing direct nursing services, monitoring detox processes, and ensuring that all medical protocols are delivered with excellence and compassion.

What You’ll Do:

Complete nursing documentation within 24 hours of the patient’s admission, including: Admission Note Nursing Assessment Pre-Screen Testing HRS Consent Form Patient Health Examination Criteria for Admission Form (if Staff admit) Transcribes Physician’s Orders and implement all Medical Protocols Monitor Detox processes and manage medications Collaborate with and assist physicians and psychiatrist to support medical and psychiatric care Administers Makes appropriate referrals using referral forms Conducts Nursing Assessments, observing and evaluating patients for clinical and withdrawal symptoms following prescribed course of treatment. Handles the medication management; trains staff on medication dispensing Ensures Universal Precautions of the unit Facilitates Health Education groups including General Health Education and Medication/Drug Interactions Determines and implements specific Detox protocols as designated by the Medical Director Ensures patient confidentiality and privacy standards (42 CFR, Part 2) Attends and participate in all “in-service” functions Respond promptly to medical emergencies and make appropriate referrals Maintain detailed, accurate medical documentation per licensure standards Supervises Staff Technician duties Performs any other task outlined in accordance with 65D-30 • Meets with patients requesting to see the doctor to determine the urgency of their medical needs and expedite treatment as required

What We’re Looking For:
