Responsibilities of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)

• Medicationadministration per physician orders
• Physician ordered treatmentsfor:
• Nutrition via a feeding tube
• Tracheostomy care
• Suctioningnasal, oral and/or endotracheal
• Ventilation care
• Seizure assessment and treatment Requirements for LicensedPractical Nurses (LPNs)
• Current, active Florida LPN license
• Current BLS CPR card (obtained in-person, not online)
• G-tube,trach, vent experience, or willing to train
• TB Skin Test (PPD) orTB Blood Test (QF)
• Alzheimer’s training
• 2 Hour DOEA ApprovedCourse (provided at no cost if needed)
