The schedule is 8:30am – 6:00pm with a minimum of 4 days per week. Duties and Responsibilities:

Assess patient physical status and obtain basic vital signs. Responsible for the insertion and maintenance of IV lines. Administer and document subcutaneous injections. Prepare and administer medications based on the prescribed treatment plan and approved guidelines. Monitor and maintain infusions and document a detailed record in EHR. Maintain supplies inventory in the infusion suite(s). Manage infusion/injection suite supply of medications. (Order, receive, log and store). Ensure that the infusion suite is properly maintained for cleanliness, sterilization, and infection control. Provide feedback to providers regarding concerns or issues that arise during patient treatments. Schedule infusion patients. Collaborate and confer with physician and the appropriate practice staff regarding patient status and treatment needs. Perform other related duties as directed or required.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2+ years’ nursing experience – Rheumatology preferred Valid Massachusetts Nursing License BLS Certificate required ACLS preferred Proficient in insertion of intravenous catheters, and subcutaneous and intradermal injections Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload to meet patient workflow requirements Excellent verbal and written skills Proficiency with electronic medical records
