Miami, FL 33179 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential nursing care to patients in various settings, including behavioral health, home care, and critical care environments. The LPN will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care tailored to their individual needs. Duties Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers. Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any significant changes to the supervising nurse. Assist with pain management and acute pain management strategies. Provide support in behavioral health settings, addressing the emotional and psychological needs of patients. Perform venipuncture and other necessary procedures to collect samples for testing. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and home care practices. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures in all patient interactions. Participate in ongoing training related to neonatal ventilator use, PICU protocols, and critical care practices. Skills Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices. Proficiency in pain management techniques and acute pain management strategies. Experience in home care settings is preferred. Competence in venipuncture and other clinical procedures. Familiarity with inhalation therapies and respiratory systems. Knowledge of neonatal ventilator operation is a plus. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as PICU or critical care units. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in patient documentation.
