Compassionate LPN for Patient Care Avant Concierge Urology Winter Garden, FL 34787 We are a established Urology clinic in Winter Garden, Florida. We are looking for a reliable and compassionate LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to care for patients in a professional and considerate manner. At Avant Concierge Urology we perfom visits and procedures in a office setting. It is a great opportunity to experience the OR without the hassles of a hopsital setting. No call, no work on weekends, the ideal balance of family and work life. We pay for 6 federal holidays, paid time off (around 15 days per year), provide health/vision and dental insurance. Responsibilities Fill out forms requested per Insurance Companies, Disability paperwork, Pharmacies request. Request Cardiac/ Pulmonary/ Medical Clearances from other physicians Act as a scribe during patient visits if Medical assistants are not availble Answer calls regarding medications, orders, post op care, etc Assist and observe patients during and after small procedures in a clinic setting Monitor patients’ condition and compose patient operative charts during minor office procedures Administer injections, prescribed medications, clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks Order medical supplies Provide emotional and psychological support when needed Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions Skills Proven experience as LPN or similar role Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology Good knowledge of MS Office, typing and data entry Good physical condition and stamina Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and able to handle stress Successful completion of LPN license program is a must
