LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSES
to work
PART TIME DAYS
(7A-7:30P) alongside medical professionals who bring equal amounts of compassion and expertise to serving the needs of a diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will not only be skilled in assessing patients and providing care, but will also use critical thinking and good judgment to integrate objective data with the subjective nature of each patient’s biological, physical, and behavioral needs. With assistance from an exceptional LPN, we can continue our mission of helping individuals achieve a life of health and wellness.
Objectives of this role:
Deliver a high standard of medical care according to the specific orders of each patient’s physician Work alongside staff members as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team Follow a model of care that supports the wellness of our patients and staff Serve as a primary source of medical information for patients and caregivers Foster a supportive and compassionate environment of care for patients and their families
Responsibilities:
Taking and monitoring patient vital signs Assisting patients with eating, dressing, and bathing Administering medication Communicating changes in patient behavior or health status to nurses, physicians, and family members Maintaining accurate patient records Collecting specimen samples when needed Taking an active part in patient care planning Overseeing Certified Nursing Assistants and training Preparing patients for transfers or discharge Assisting in medical procedures Managing emergency medical situations Requirements for this position: Bachelor’s of science degree (or equivalent) in nursing Licensure as an LPN in the State of Florida Basic life support (BLS) certification Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred skills and qualifications: Ability to communicate in more than one language One or more years of experience in a skilled nursing facility
