Growing together. Under the direction of the Provider, the ClinicNurse provides direct patient care in accordance with Companyprotocols, established standards of nursing practice, and the FLNurse Practice Act. Promptly screens patients with signs orsymptoms of illness. Works with the clinical team for appropriatetreatment, plan of care and disposition. Ensures patient monitoringand follow up. The Clinic Nurse reports to the CenterAdministrator.

Saint Petersburg PositionHighlights & Primary Responsibilities:
  • Contributes to andsupports the corporation’s quality initiatives by planning,communicating and encouraging team and individual. Maintains asolid focus on quality and continuous improvement within job scope
  • Maintains an active nursing appointment schedule for assistingthe Provider in the monitoring of members’ health care needs.

Assists the Care Manager and Provider in the follow-up managementof post-hospitalized or post-emergency room visits

  • Comprehensively screens patients for care opportunities andcollaborates with treating physician to develop care plans thatmeet patients’ needs and result in appropriate quality care
  • Provides condition specific patient education and anticipatoryguidance, as well as care coordination, under the guidance of theProvider
  • Provides health teaching
  • Provides direct nursing care,comfort measures, emotional support to patients
  • Performs selectedIV therapy and administers prescribed treatment per Provider order
  • Maintains clinical documentation within the medical recordsassuring compliance within all guidelines.

Required Qualifications:
  • High schoolgraduate, GED or equivalent
  • Valid Florida RN lor LPN Licensure
  • For LPNs, IV Certification or ability to obtain in 90 days
  • BasicLife Support for Healthcare providers (AHA) or CPR/AED for theProfessional Rescuer (American Red Cross) or the ability to obtainwithin 90 days of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years ofexperience in Med-Surg, ER, ICU, Acute Care
  • Experience withelectronic health records (EHR)
  • Experience in MS Office
