What You’ll Do:

As an Infection Preventionist,you will be responsible for developing, implementing, andmonitoring infection prevention and control programs. You will bepractitioner, resource, consultant, educator, and facilitator forall staff to ensure a safe environment throughout our facility. KeyResponsibilities Provide oversight of infection control andprevention program to identify and prevent the spread of infectionsfor residents and staff Review, update and direct theimplementation of infection control & prevention policies andprocedures Oversee the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, theEmployee Health Program and Universal Influenza Program Serve as amember of the Quality Assessment & Assurance Committee Ensurecompliance to new hire screening, documentation and immunizationreporting per state and federal regulatory requirements Performrounds to identify potential hazards, monitor infection controlpractices, identify educational needs and evaluate compliance withstandard and transmission based precautions Develop and deliverstaff education programs to all staff Track, analyze and presentsurveillance trends and develop action plans in conjunction withQAPI process Maintain records and reporting as required by stateand federal regulations If you are a vigilant, detail-oriented,healthcare professional whose personal mission is safeguarding theworld from infection, we encourage you to join our team as anInfection Preventionist! What You’ll Bring:

Qualifications of anInfection Preventionist include: LPN License in the state ofMassachusetts Degree in nursing, epidemiology, biology,microbiology Infection Control and Prevention Certification isrequired prior to assuming the role Interest in the nursing needsof the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work withboth Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care Strongclinical, organizational, and decision-making skills Experience ina Long-Term Care or similar healthcare setting preferred Excellentcommunication and interpersonal abilities Ability to workeffectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
