Staff Nurse (Full Time – 12 hour shifts) 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 832 Sunset Lake Boulevard, Venice, FL 34292 Job description Sunset Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking vibrant and compassionate Registered and Licensed Practical Nurses (RNs & LPNs) to join our staff! We offer (12) hour shifts. Days and Night nurses needed. We have recently increased our experience scale along with shift differentials, weekend differentials, and a Perfect Attendance bonus. The
RN / LPN
is responsible for the following:
- Monitoring residents, their responses to treatment care plans.
- Supervising and directing.
- Document necessary information regarding nursing care, care plans and observation of residents overall conditions.
- Perform various duties to provide quality nursing care to residents.
- Analyzes information for appropriate interventions to prevent decline.
- Record signs of change in condition.
- Notify appropriate staff per facility protocol to evaluate weight loss, decline in ambulation, development of skin breakdown, etc.
- Administers medications and treatments to residents; monitor administration of intravenous fluids; places orders for medication.
- Maintain resident clinical files; keep charts updated; document appropriately.
- Make rounds to see each resident daily. Job Requirements
- At least one year of experience in a Long Term Care environment is highly preferred.
- Must be a graduate of an approved practical nursing program.
- Must possess and maintain a current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Must be able to move, lift and position patients.
