Weekly Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Infusion LPN with a minimum of one year of infusion experience to join a Rheumatology clinic in Waycross, GA. The Infusion LPN is responsible for administering intravenous (IV) therapies, monitoring patient responses, and providing high-quality nursing care in compliance with clinical protocols and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer IV medications, fluids, and biologic therapies according to prescribed protocols. Monitor patients during and after infusions for adverse reactions and intervene as necessary. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR). Assist with venipuncture, port access, and PICC line care. Educate patients and families about infusion therapies and potential side effects. Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and RNs to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain cleanliness and safety of infusion equipment and environment. Comply with infection control procedures and safety standards.
Qualifications:
Active LPN license in Georgia , in good standing. Minimum 1 year of recent infusion experience (required). IV certification. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required). Experience with central line care, port access, and biologic medications is strongly preferred. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and respond to patient needs quickly.
