Wound Care Nurse-RN/LPN Beachside Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing 2810 South Atlantic Avenue, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169 RN Wound Care Nurse – Full Time
OVERVIEW
Provides care that will quickly and safely heal various types of wounds, including surgical openings, ulcers, bed sores, feeding tube sites, and abscesses. The wound care nurse will access the wounds, create and implement treatment plans, monitor infection and signs of various infections, and clean wounds.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a Comprehensive care plan for skin impairments- updating as needed to include any change in treatment, improvement and/or decline Review investigation for all new skin opening related to pressure Educate and counsel patients and their families on wound care processes and issues Maintain weekly rounds in facility and work with Wound Care Physician completing a weekly report detailing any skin or wound related concerns.
REQUIREMENTS
Valid RN/LPN License in the state of Florida CPR/BLS certified Two years of clinical nursing experience 1+ year in geriatrics and/or wound care
