Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location:
Marietta, GA Shift Times:
Medication administration required at 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM We are currently seeking compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide in-home care for a medically complex male client residing in Marietta, GA . This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the life of an individual requiring high-level support in a stable, home-based setting.
Client Overview:
The client has significant physical and medical needs and requires total assistance with daily living activities.
Key responsibilities include:
Mobility and Transfers:
The client is non-weight-bearing and utilizes a wheelchair.
Skin Integrity:
Due to a history of wound care issues and a low BMI , staff must monitor skin condition regularly and apply barrier creams as needed.
Medication Administration:
The client cannot self-administer medications. LPNs must administer all medications , which are given in applesauce, and monitor for any side effects or changes in condition.
Nutrition & Feeding:
All meals must be pureed or finely chopped to reduce choking risk. The client must eat slowly with liquids between bites and remain upright after meals due to GERD . LPNs must monitor for adequate nutrition and hydration to support weight gain .
Health Monitoring:
Regular vital signs monitoring and skin assessments are required. The LPN will also assist with scheduling and attending medical, dental, and specialist appointments as needed.
Candidate Requirements:
Current LPN license in the state of Georgia Experience with medically fragile clients preferred Skilled in medication administration and documentation Comfortable performing hands-on care, including lifting/transfers Strong observational skills and attention to detail Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
