Full Time7:30 am – 4:00 pm

Location:

Winship Cancer Institute, Emory Clinic,Building CThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct andindirect nursing care to patients and families in routine nursingsituations within the LPN scope of practice. Under the supervisionof a registered nurse or licensed provider, the LPN assists inpatient care, treatment, and comfort. This role is an integral partof the healthcare team, ensuring quality care in alignment withEmory Healthcare’s patient and family-centered care standards. Provide patient care based on an individualized plan delegatedby the Registered Nurse/Physician. Monitor and document patient conditions, including vital signs,wound care, drains, and lab values. Assist with medical procedures, treatments, and medicationadministration as per scope of practice. Collect and document patient data using specialized equipmentas needed (e.g., glucometer, pulse oximeter). Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment followingsafety and infection control protocols. Inform the supervising Registered Nurse/Physician about patientactivities, observations, and changes in condition. Provide patient and family education related to healthconditions, treatment plans, and home care. Adhere to universal precautions and patient safety standards inall interactions.

Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical NursingProgram. A minimum of 2 years of LPN experience within the past 5years. A valid, unencumbered license as a Practical Nurse in the Stateof Georgia. Strong patient care, communication, and documentationskills.

BLS ACLS

may be required for certain departments, posthirePreferred Qualifications Previous nursing experience preferred but not required. Computer Skills
