As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Mercy Care Atlanta,you will work under the supervision of a Mercy Care Medical doctorand/or Nurse Practitioner to coordinate access to healthcare,provide patient care, and support preventive services for ourdiverse patient population. Your role will involve performingpatient assessments, maintaining medical supplies, conducting EKGs,and participating in community events to promote health andwellness.
What You Will Do Coordinate access to healthcare, health education, andpreventive services for target population. Perform basic patient assessment procedures including vitalsigns, infection disease control, and universal precautions. Maintain and order medical supplies and materials under theguidance of Nurse Practitioners and/or Clinic Manager. Perform EKGs under the guidance of a licensed MedicalProvider. Participate in health fairs or community events on weekends asrequested. Provide direct patient care and/or support activitiesappropriate to ages served.
Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing. Current Georgia State license. One-year experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred;new graduates are welcome to apply. Passing score on entry medication exam. Current CPR or BCLS certification. Knowledge of basic arrhythmia interpretation within one year ifhired for a telemetry unit.
