Job Summary With a high degree of demonstrated competency, deliver conscious sedation to patients during procedures as prescribed by the attending physician. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide constant evaluation, observation and treatment of patients during procedure. Review the patient’s chart. Maintain accurate documentation. Assist in the safe transportation and positioning of patients if need be. Assist with the counts and recording of narcotics at the beginning and end of the day. Administer IV moderate sedation, including fentanyl and versed, per policy and physician’s orders. Assist with emergencies in the operating room, as per policy. Respect the confidentiality of patient, center and physician related information. Maintain confidentiality of patient records and use complete discretion when discussing patient information. Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies Perform other task as assigned by charge nurse, administrator or providers.

Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program Must have current GA nursing license, BLS, ACLS and other required training. Newly hired nurses will be given a 90-day grace period to obtain BLS and ACLS Certification. Knowledge of equipment, instrumentation and supplies required to perform specific responsibilities Demonstrated competency administering conscious sedation
