Range $20•28/hour About Hope House Hope House is a drug and alcohol treatment center for homeless and low-income women. Hope House is a free program to all who qualify. We have an inpatient, residential program in addition to an intensive outpatient program. Services include housing support, medical care, case management, parenting and childcare support, vocational training, and other life-skills training designed to instill self-sufficiency that will support long-term recovery. Job Overview The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct support to the Medical Team at Hope House and reports to the Medical Coordinator. This is a hands-on and participative team member who supports day-to-day operations within the medical department including providing care to participants and their children, assisting with medications, completing drug screens, and administrative support where required. Essential Functions Documents participant records within EMR system. Performs in-office drug screens for program participants and staff as needed. Performs TB skin tests and readings as needed. Assists with participant medication management ensuring medications are recorded, stored, and distributed appropriately. Assists assigned doctors as needed. Completes nursing assessments for new participants upon admission. Maintains patient and personal safety regarding occupational health and safety. Supervises the self-administration of medication by program participant in accordance with physician’s prescription order. Administers first aid care when necessary. Maintains appropriate medical case files in accord with legal requirements (i.e. HUD, DHR, and DCA). Displays a positive and professional image and attitude in all relationships with patients, families, peers. Adheres to all Hope House policies and procedures. Maintains absolute confidentiality of all information pertaining to patients, families, and staff and adhere to all HIPAA requirements. Performs all other duties assigned. Other Job Requirements:

Must maintain a valid Drivers License, as specified in the personnel policies. Must comply with all laws and policies concerning confidentiality, security, and client rights as specified in the employee manual, and 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA. Must maintain current certification and/or training in CPR and First Aid, and any other areas specified by state law and agency regulation.
