Our ambulatory LPNswork under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Advanced PracticeProvider or Physician and have the autonomy of being the primarynurse for a provider within their scope of practice.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the health, comfort and safety ofpatients
- Documents a thorough medical history from patient
- Contributes to the assessment of patients and administersmedications or treatments as ordered
- Provides technical supportto healthcare professionals
- Counseling patients and family, underthe direction of a registered nurse, on prevention and treatmentplans Qualifications Graduate from an accredited practical nursingprogram as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
If position requires IVtherapy/management skills, the following is required in
NorthDakota:
graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IVtherapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapycourse approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing. Currentlyholds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license withState Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensureprivileges. Obtains and subsequently maintains required departmentspecific competencies and certifications.
