DESCRIPTION General Function:
Assists the surgical team during Operative procedures to provide quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists in preparing the Operating Room or Endoscopy suite with necessary equipment, supplies, suture. Provide care to infants, children, adolescent’s adults and geriatric patients.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Educational Requirements:
High School Education Maintains valid Louisiana LPN license (if applicable) Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience Requirements:
Surgical Technician/GI lab Technician certified or comparable training/experience preferred Accredited school or 1year surgical scrub/GI lab experience preferred
Special Requirements:
Oral and written communication skills Legible handwriting Basic computer skills
