Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supports the physicians and healthcare team in delivering high-quality care to patients within an ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) practice. This role involves patient care coordination, clinical support during office visits and minor procedures, and patient education specific to ENT conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Room patients, obtain vital signs, and review medical history and medication lists. Prepare patients for examination and assist with ENT-specific procedures such as nasal endoscopy, ear lavage, audiometric screening, and throat swabs. Administer injections, medications, and immunizations as directed by a physician. Perform basic hearing tests and support audiology staff if present. Manage and maintain clinical supplies and sterilization of instruments. Document all patient interactions and procedures accurately in the electronic health record (EHR). Provide post-visit instructions and patient education regarding ENT conditions (e.g., sinus infections, ear infections, allergies). Triage patient phone calls and relay information to providers appropriately. Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and follow-up appointments. Ensure compliance with infection control and HIPAA standards.
Qualifications:
