$24.00 -$36.00 Department Details Support multiple locations within 150 miles of your permanentaddress Mileage reimbursement Additional $5 per hour float premium Additional $1.25 per hour weekend shift differential Additional $1.25 per hour evening/night shift differential;6:00pm – 6:00am Required to work at least 24 hours per month Required to work at least one weekend rotation per month 3-month previous experience in Long Term Care required, 6months preferred No contract required Job Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse(LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all agesin long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse,advanced practice provider, or physician. Demonstrates knowledge ofnursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinicalsetting. Demonstrates competency and practices within the fullscope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate ageand population specific standards related to the physical andpsychosocial needs of the resident as per care plan. Possess theability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of theresident’s status and to provide the care needed. Demonstratesability to recognize problems, recommend solutions and respondeffectively to assist in an emergent situation. Ensures the health,comfort and safety of residents. Contributes to the assessment ofresidents and administers medications or treatments as ordered.

Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.

Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes relatedto resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary.

Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective workingrelationships with resident, health care providers, and the public.

Ability to work effectively with professional and supportivepersonnel as a member of an interdisciplinary care team. Ability tocommunicate clearly and maintain confidentiality of sensitiveinformation. Counsels residents, family members and/or residentadvocate, under the direction of a registered nurse, advancedpractice provider or physician on prevention and treatment plans.

Knowledge of resident education principles to develop a self-careprogram. Performs other related duties as assigned. QualificationsGraduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a LicensedPractical Nurse. Associate degree in practical nursing ispreferred. If position requires IV therapy/management skills, thefollowing is required in

North Dakota:

graduation from a Boardapproved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculumor completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North DakotaBoard of Nursing. Must have attended a pre-licensure nursingprogram that included supervised clinical experience across thelife span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400hours of experience as LPN at another facility. Specificservices/positions may have additional education, training orexperience requirements. Currently holds an unencumbered LicensedPractical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/orpossess multi-state licensure privileges. Obtains and subsequentlymaintains required department specific competencies andcertifications. Completes required annual continuing educationunits (CEU) and competency training requirements of the departmentand facility.
