This job is not like working in an Emergency Room, Hospital or Nursing Home. No late nights, no bedpans! We are an innovative facility for at-risk youth and are looking for a part-time LPN to work 8am-6pm every other weekend (Sat-Sun). If you are a LPN and want to work in a therapeutic environment with a positive, dynamic team, apply now! Our LPN’s perform basic medical tasks such as med pass and first aid. Pay:
$25.00/hour
Schedule:
8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, every other weekend (Sat/Sun); potential to pick up additional shifts, based on your availability. Additional 50% in incentive pay for working holidays and during emergencies/inclement weather events.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be licensed in the State of Louisiana as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Vocational Nurse At least one year of clinical/nursing experience (desired but not required) Pediatric/adolescent experience (desired but not required) Valid driver’s license
AS A LPN/LVN AT FPJDC, YOU CAN EXPECT TO
Perform initial health assessments of youth Various testing and lab draws Obtain and record medications brought in by guardians Order prescriptions from contracted pharmacy when medications are low Contact guardians to establish medical history, insurance information, and best contact numbers Provide education on STDs, hygiene, stress and relaxation, TB, and how to receive medical care from facility nurses Assist in keeping supply lists updated, MARs updated, Cleaning of med room, doctor and dental clinics Medication administration- mornings, midday, and evenings Sick call by internal referral requests Please visit our website to apply. www.
