Description

Summary:

The

CRMA/PSS

is responsible for the administration of medication, communication with health care providers, and ensuring the accuracy of physician orders, along with providing hands-on care and services to meet identified resident needs. This includes coordination with other staff, implementation of the interdisciplinary service plan for each resident, reporting changes in resident condition, and documenting the resident’s physical ability to perform self-care. The

CRMA/PSS

observes, documents, and reports all aspects of resident activities of daily living, health status, and compliance with physician orders to ensure appropriate levels of care and placement. Working under the direction of the Residential Care Manager, Assisted Living and Home Health Coordinator, and with guidance from the Director of Health Services, the

CRMA/PSS

helps maintain the highest levels of physical, psychological, social, and spiritual well-being in accordance with the resident service plan and current standards of care.
This is a Per Diem position, offering flexible scheduling based on the needs of the facility and availability of the candidate.

Requirements

Education, Training or Certifications Required:

PSS certification in good standing,

Experience Required:

One or more years experience in geriatrics. Familiarity with memory loss care

Special Requirements:

BLS within 120 days of hire date, Basic computer skills preferred.

Cognitive Requirements:

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and in writing. Additional languages preferred. Ability for high performance under stressful situations. Must be able to prioritize, multi-tak and follow through

Physical Demands:

Able to stand/work for most of an 8-12 hour shift. Must be able to bend/lift 25 – 55 lbs (assisting residents in and out of bed, etc.)

Environment:

Potential exposure to blood, body fluids, contagious diseases and potential for periods of high stress.
