36 #RN1 Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential nursing care to patients in various settings, including nursing homes and hospitals. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care tailored to their individual needs. Duties Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Perform patient assessments to monitor health status and respond to changes. Assist with basic life support procedures and emergency interventions when necessary. Conduct spinal taps and other specialized procedures as required. Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health records systems such as Epic. Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with healthcare team members. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards in all patient interactions. Skills Proficiency in basic life support techniques. Experience with spinal tap procedures is a plus. Strong knowledge of medication administration practices. Familiarity with ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation of diagnoses. Previous experience in nursing home or ICU settings is highly desirable. Excellent patient assessment skills to identify health issues promptly. Understanding of occupational health principles related to patient care. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
