Job Description
Responsible for ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and resident/family satisfaction in accordance with accepted standardsof practice, state and federal regulations and licensing requirements.
Operates withinthe scope of practice definedby the state Nurse Practice Act. Responsible for resident care and directionofnursing careduring assignedshift; includesstaffassignments,mentoring andeducating nursingpersonnel, working with physicians and other medical professionals.
PrincipalResponsibilitiesConductthedaily nursing functions inaccordance with Company, State, Federal and local rules, regulations, andguidelines.
Admit,transferanddischargeresidentswithdocumentationregardingcare and serviceprovided.
Participateintheorientationofnewresidents/familymemberstothefacility.
Participateinfacilitysurveys(inspections)asscheduled.
Ensuresdeliveryofhigh-quality,positiveclinicaloutcomes,andresident/familysatisfactionduringshift.
Servesasaresource toallstaffwithinthefacilityregardingthequalityofservicesprovided.
Ability to administermedications and treatment timelyand according tofacilitypolicy; Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed b)Nurse Practice Act.
Effectivelymanagesnursingpersonnelonshifttolimituseofovertimeandagencypersonnel.
