Essential Functions:
  • Supply and administer medication pursuant to physician order andrecord dosage administered in the medical record.
  • Conduct anactual sight and count inventory of the medication supply daily.
  • Maintain absolute accuracy in daily accounting of medication thatis supplied or administered in inventory.
  • Collect fees andperform daily cash reconciliation in the absence of a cashierposition.
  • Ensure disposal of medical waste through the properprotocol.
  • Observe the patient’s demeanor prior to dosing.
  • Contact other centers to verify dosages as needed.
  • Administerappropriate lab tests as required including patient vital signs, TBtests when required, and collects data for review by the MedicalDirector or RN.
  • Schedule and screen patients to be seen by theMedical Director.
  • Assist the Medical Director in collecting datafor the history and physical as required.
  • Maintain absolutecontrol, tracking, and confidentiality of all patient medicalpaperwork.
  • Actively participate in CARF preparation and stateaudit process.
  • Interface with the public and patients byanswering phones, greeting visitors, and monitoring patientactivities while on center premises.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Education/Licensure/Certification:

    Active LPN license in the stateof Missouri or multi-state.

  • Required Knowledge:

    Understanding ofopiate addiction, medical terminology, general nursing knowledge,and techniques. Basic mathematics skills. Must be computer literateand have basic knowledge of all Microsoft products including Word,Outlook, and Excel. Must have basic typing skills.

ExperienceRequired:

Minimum of 1-year direct patient contact. Priorexperience in the clinical environment is helpful.
