We are a resident-centered skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in South St. Louis , dedicated to providing high-quality long-term and short-term care in a compassionate, supportive environment. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our leadership team as a Treatment Nurse / Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) . This dual role offers a unique opportunity to combine clinical wound care expertise with nursing leadership and team oversight . Position Summary As the Treatment Nurse / ADON , you’ll oversee wound care services while supporting the Director of Nursing in managing clinical operations. You’ll supervise nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, promote staff development, and foster a culture of safety and respect. In the absence of the DON, you will assume full responsibility for the clinical department. Key Responsibilities Wound Care & Treatment (Clinical): Perform skin assessments, administer prescribed wound treatments, and track healing progress. Coordinate and lead weekly wound rounds; document findings and physician orders. Educate staff on pressure ulcer prevention and proper wound care techniques. Ensure proper use and availability of wound care supplies. Monitor compliance with infection control protocols and state/federal guidelines.

Leadership & Administration:

Support daily nursing operations and clinical decision-making in collaboration with the DON. Supervise and mentor nursing staff; evaluate performance and provide coaching. Participate in admissions, care planning, and interdisciplinary team meetings. Promote infection prevention, safety, and compliance with nursing best practices. Serve as acting DON when needed, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
