JOB SUMMARY
The LPN performs under the direct supervision of aRegistered Nurse and is delegated an assignment by him/her toachieve quality patient care. The LPN shall assist the RN in theimplementation of the nursing process by providing direct patientcare as evidenced, but not limited to, patient care documentation,direct observation, and patient evaluations. The LPN is responsibleand accountable to the Director of Nurses. Demonstrates theknowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to theage of the patients served; also demonstrates knowledge of theprinciples of growth and development and possesses the ability toread data reflective of the patient’s status and interprets theappropriate information needed to identify each patient’srequirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to providethe care needed as described in the department’s policies andprocedures
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Skills:
Graduate of a recognized LPN program. Must havesuccessfully completed at least 770 clinical practice hours of LPNprogram. These hours are exclusive of laboratory hours.
Work Experience:
Work experience preferred but not required. Certification/Licensure-DUE
