LPN – Contract -Full Time Hours 7/3 Tippah County Health & Rehab 1005 City Avenue North, Ripley, MS 38663 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential nursing care to patients, particularly in senior care settings, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and the ability to perform various medical procedures while maintaining a high standard of patient care. Duties Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Perform IV insertion and venipuncture for patients as needed. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse or physician. Provide care for patients with infectious diseases, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Assist in the management of hospice care, offering support to patients and their families during critical times. Conduct assessments of patients’ health status, including understanding their aliment and specific needs related to geriatrics. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Educate patients and families on health management, including proper techniques for inhalation therapies when applicable. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experiences: Proven experience in senior care or geriatrics is preferred. Familiarity with ICU practices is a plus. Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is essential. Experience in providing care for patients with infectious diseases or hospice care is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
