Overview:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Hospital supportsthe Registered Nurse or healthcare provider in a hospital settingto provide high-quality patient care. Working under closesupervision, this role develops and implements hospital-based careplans and prepares equipment for procedures across theorganization’s hospital systems.

NursingResponsibilities:
Supports the care team by collecting patienthistory and medical information in order to provide complete casedocumentation in hospital medical records. Assists in developingand implementing care plans as directed by the Registered Nurse orhealthcare provider to serve patient needs of those being treatedin a hospital. Ensures that the proper techniques and safetyprecautions are taken in accordance with Cone Health policiesaround sterile environments. Communicates health care instructionsto patients and families in order to deliver information in a clearway for the care plan. Helps to respond to emergencies and safetyhazards by utilizing personal protective equipment and hospitalprecautions to avoid patient harm. Performs other duties asreasonably required or assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent; Diploma in PracticalNursing; Completion of Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) requiredwithin 4 years of hire.
EXPERIENCE
Required:
None; New LPNGraduates must be accepted into the Cone Health LPN Academy
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING
Required:
Current LPNlicense in North Carolina; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHAHealthcare Provider
