The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Hospital supports theRegistered Nurse or healthcare provider in a hospital setting toprovide high-quality patient care. Working under close supervision,this role develops and implements hospital-based care plans andprepares equipment for procedures across the organization’shospital systems. Supports the care team by collecting patient history and medicalinformation in order to provide complete case documentation inhospital medical records. Assists in developing and implementing care plans as directed bythe Registered Nurse or healthcare provider to serve patient needsof those being treated in a hospital. Ensures that the proper techniques and safety precautions are takenin accordance with Cone Health policies around sterileenvironments. Communicates health care instructions to patients and families inorder to deliver information in a clear way for the care plan. Helps to respond to emergencies and safety hazards by utilizingpersonal protective equipment and hospital precautions to avoidpatient harm. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent; Diploma inPractical Nursing; Completion of Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN)required within 4 years of hire.
EXPERIENCE
