LicensedPractical Nurse (LPN) Supervise the care/services provided by the Certified NursingAssistants and other team members who care for the residents Provide nursing care of residents on the unit assuring allresidents receive appropriate care. Provide safe and accurate Medication Related interventions toresidents. Assess the health of residents and notify the physician ofchanges in status and promptly implement new orders. Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementingnursing care. Select and institutes appropriate nursing interventions tostabilize a resident’s condition and /or preventcomplications. Contribute to the resident’s assessment (MDS/CAA’s) and thedevelopment of a plan of care.

Education and/or Experience for

LPN:

Demonstrates knowledge of basic nursing practice with aninterest in gerontological nursing. Prefer 2 years experience in a long term caresetting.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Must have a current state license to practice as a licensedpractical nurse (LPN). Current CPR certification Additional certification in nursing specialtydesired.
