JobSummary And QualificationsWhat you will do in this role: You will manage efficient flow of patients including screening,preparation for exam, instructing patients on collection of anynecessary samples/tests, and obtaining vitals You will notify patients of test results and follow-upappointments and instructs patients and families about medicationsand treatment instructions You will manage patient records including chart entries andposting lab/tests and examination results You will schedule tests and treatments including arrangingreferrals to a specialist and obtaining pre-authorizations whendirected by the providerThe Licensed Practical Nurse/LicensedVocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) delivers high quality, patient-centeredcare by performing a variety of delegated basic patient careservices. In collaboration with the RN and other members of thecare team, the LPN/LVN provides individualized, comprehensive careconsistent with the scope and standards of the specialty. Provide direct, evidence-based care to patients as directed bythe physician or RN. Assist with procedures, monitoring, or other functions asdirected. Perform lab and procedural tests within the LVN/LPN scope ofpractice, after demonstrating competency. Document the administration of care in the patient medicalrecord in a timely and thorough manner. Serve as a resource to department staff, students andvolunteers to help deliver quality patient care.
