• Supervise thecare/services provided by the Certified Nursing Assistants andother team members who care for the residents
• Provide nursingcare of residents on the unit assuring all residents receiveappropriate care.
• Provide safe and accurate Medication Relatedinterventions to residents.
• Assess the health of residents andnotify the physician of changes in status and promptly implementnew orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment,implementing nursing care.
• Select and institutes appropriatenursing interventions to stabilize a resident’s condition and /orprevent complications.
• Contribute to the resident’s assessment(MDS/CAA’s) and the development of a plan of care.

Education and/orExperience for

LPN:

• Demonstrates knowledge of basic nursingpractice with an interest in gerontological nursing.
• Prefer 2years experience in a long term care setting.

Certificates,Licenses, Registrations:

• Must have a current state license topractice as a licensed practical nurse (LPN).
• Current CPRcertification
• Additional certification in nursing specialtydesired.
