DepartmentSummary:

Duke Primary Care Holly Spring provides comprehensivemedical services for children, teens, and adults, with a team offamily doctors, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. Foradults, services include internal and family medicine, annualphysicals, preventive care, chronic illness management, and women’shealth screenings. The clinic also offers sports physicals,immunizations, diabetes education, and joint injections. Forinfants, children, and adolescents, care includes well-childvisits, routine checkups, immunizations, physicals, and screeningsfor hearing, vision, and development, along with management ofconditions like asthma, allergies, and diabetes. Clinic Hours Monday through Thursday 7:00am-6:00PM and Friday8:00AM-5:00PM and Sat 8:00AM-12:00

PM Locations:

401 Irving Pkwy#230, Holly Springs, NC 27540 Minimum Requirements Work requires graduation from an Accredited Practical NurseProgram. Current State of North Carolina or Compact Licensure isrequired. Nurses with a multi state compact license must obtain NC statelicensure within the first 90 days of employment. BLS certification is required.

Experience:

No experience required Duties and Responsibilities Provide and document direct nursing care of assigned patientsunder the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Nursingcare is guided by the physician orders and the nursing plan ofcare. Patient response to care is reported to a registered nursefor evaluation, intervention and modification of the plan of care.

Assist other health care personnel in the delivery of patientcare. Assist physicians and other nursing personnel in theperformance of various diagnostic procedures. Evaluate nursing care with emphasis on nursing procedures andpatient responses; assist in the delivery of nursing care andselection of nursing priorities. Assist in the development and implementation of generalpolicies and procedures to provide for the emotional and physicalcomfort and safety of patients; participate in the formulation ofnew policies. Participate in maintaining the environment of care includingequipment and other material resources. Participate in the identification of clinical or operationalperformance improvement opportunities and assists in performanceimprovement activities. Assist with control of material resources and maintenance;assist in appraisal of effectiveness of material and equipment andreport any equipment malfunctions to charge nurse. Participate in in-service education programs and otherconferences within the service. Assist in the training of new employees. Perform other related duties incidental to the work describedherein.
