NIGHT Shift:
7:30p.m, – 8:00am (3-12hour shifts w/every other weekend rotation )Carolina House proudlyserves people of all genders age 17 and older from across thecountry who are struggling with eating disorders and otherco-occurring concerns. Situated in the heart of North Carolina. Bea part of our growth as we launch our new primary mental healthprogram at Carolina House!
Carolina House offers residential,partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient eating disorderstreatment to individuals with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa,binge-eating disorder, and related issues. We seek to treat thewhole person and promote the development of strong, life-longemotional and behavioral skills that honor a person’s uniquesituation.
Purpose StatementProvide nursing care and services withinthe standards and scope of nursing practice, as defined within thestate Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures andprotocols, as well as facility and corporate policies andprocedures. Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professionalattitude toward customers at all times. Recognize that patientsafety is a top priority.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Monitor patient health and administer basic care utilizing thenursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice in carryingout care plan objectives and goals. Role model expectations related to customer service anddemonstrates a sense of urgency related to the importance ofpatient safety. Collaborate with others to ensure that patients’ physical,biopsychosocial, age, developmental and cultural needs are met andwhen they are not met, acknowledges and works to resolve customercomplaints. Provide for the basic comfort of patient, implement nursinginterventions identified in the plan of care that is individualizedto their needs. Apply appropriate interventions to progress the patient towardswellness and address maintenance of wellness. Discuss the care provided with patient and listen to theirconcerns. Report status changes and concerns to registered nursesand doctors. Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patient,visitors, coworkers and others involved in the patient’s treatmentin an effective manner. Provide for the safe delivery of medication in accordance withpolicies and procedures, physicians orders and/or currentpractice. Maintain standards of professional nursing practice inaccordance with facility policy and procedures, other externalgoverning and credentialing bodies, performance improvementstandards and psychiatric nursing standards. Responsible for thorough, accurate reporting and documentationof the patient symptoms, responses and progress.

Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required. One or more years’ of nursing experience within clinical areaof service provided by facilitypreferred.
Licenses/Designations/Certifications Current LPN/LVN license as required by state. CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required(training available upon hire and offered by facility). First aid may be required based on state or facility.
