POSITIONSUMMARY

: Provides hands on resident care, proper and timelyadministration of medications and treatments, accurate verbal andwritten reports and rapid response to any/all emergency situations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

:

  • Performs professional and restorativenursing services which include, but not limited to, residentassessments, recording of vital signs, administering medicationsand treatments.
  • Keeps timely documentation of written reports andverbal reports ensuring that quality care is provided.
  • Interactswith the resident’s physician, pharmacist and medical personnel asneeded.
  • Following the guidelines as outlined in the Resident CarePlan; assists residents with activities of daily living includingbathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility.
  • Assists with in-service and on the job training and mentoring ofTeam Members.
  • Participates in and attends all required in-servicetraining and education programs as scheduled.
  • Other duties asassigned.

The physicaldemands described here are representative of those that must be metby an employee to successfully perform the essential functions ofthis job.

  • This position is very active and requires frequentstanding, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and climbing.
  • Thisposition will be required to lift or carry weight up to 50 lbs. andability to push up to 250 pounds independently.
  • The individualmust use proper body mechanics to assist residents in their dailyliving.
  • This position regularly requires long hours and frequentnight and weekend work.
TRAVEL:

No travel is expected althoughoccasional travel may be required for training sessions, continuingeducation opportunities, emergency situations, and other companyfunctions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Current statelicensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed VocationalNurse in good standing.
  • Certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid
  • Four-year college or university degree desired.
  • 1-2 years’experience in a similar healthcare position preferred.
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Ability to read, write, speak andunderstand English fluently.
  • Ability to meet or exceed thecompany’s attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Ability to useElectronic Records and miscellaneous software and office equipment.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
  • Abilityto work with minimal supervision.
