We currently have opportunities for Per Diem LPNs in the High Point, NC and the surrounding area. The role of the Per Diem LPNs is to provide professional nursing services in compliance with governmental regulations, individual State Nursing Practice Acts and Premier policies, procedures and philosophies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by the physician.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical history.
- Perform basic IV therapy and sterile processing.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Requirements:
- Valid LPN license.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an LPN in a healthcare setting.
- Proficient in basic nursing skills, including medication administration, wound care, and patient assessment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to various specialties (e.g., pediatrics, geriatrics).
- Ability to lift and transfer patients safely using proper body mechanics.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
Note:
Experience or knowledge in specific areas such as toddler care or laboratory. procedures is a plus but not required for all positions.
