Position Summary:

As supervised and delegated by aRegistered Nurse provides direct patient care to patients inaccordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Underthe direction of an RN, contributes to the assessment of patientsby collecting data for analysis by an RN.Performs plan on careinterventions, including specimen collection and would care. Mayadminister medication.

Documents patient care given.

Assists RN withdevelopment of plan of care.

Assists patients with performingactivities of daily living, including personal hygiene,elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

Monitors, documents, andcommunicates patient’s status and reactions to interventions withRN, physician, patient and families.

Works as an advocate for thephysical and emotional well-being of the patient.

MinimumQualifications:

Minium education:

High School diploma or equivalentrequiredRequired skills:

Requires critical thinking skills, decisivejudgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must beable to work in a stressful environment and take appropriateaction.
