5:30am to 1:30pm The Mission of Sanford Treatment Center is to provide individualized counseling, education and medication-assisted recovery to opioid-dependent adults in a safe, medically sound, and therapeutic environment. Sanford Treatment Center has an opening for a part-time RN or LPN with a current, unrestricted North Carolina nursing license to provide competent, safe, quality, professional care.
Summary of duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for quality nursing care to patient population. Gather pertinent patient information and report to Medical Director. Administration of methadone and buprenorphine in accordance with medical director’s orders. Assist the medical director in performing physicals. Collect and document medical history on new patients and annually on existing patients. Administer TB testing, breathalyzers, and observe & collect urine drug screens. Be able to take accurate blood pressure and pulse rate measurements. Participates in staff meetings and treatment team meetings providing feedback to staff, and medical director. Provide information to clinical director regarding dosage history and attendance. Utilize knowledge of chemical dependency, detoxification, and withdrawal symptoms during educational sessions. Maintain current, accurate medical documentation.
Qualifications/Requirements:
RN or LPN with a desire to work in the field of addiction medicine. Holds a current, unrestricted North Carolina RN or LPN license. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to successfully work independently, as well as with a team. Ability to maintain a high level of professional ethics and confidentiality as outlined by Federal Law protecting substance abuse patients. Successfully provide compassionate patient care in accordance with current applicable Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
