Our Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are responsible foroverseeing the care of our senior residents. These hands-oncaregivers work directly to assist residents with daily care needs.
They are responsible for supervising nursing assistants andmaintaining a high standard of care, accurate record-keeping andlicensing requirements as directed by the Director of Nursing.
Excellent communication skills and knowledge of state regulationsand medication administration are necessary. LPNs must bededicated, compassionate, and respectful. We are looking to hireLPN’s for our Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living area. Full time7p-7a shifts available.

Current Licensed Practical Nurse license, CPR certification orability to acquire within 60 days, Experience in senior care ispreferred
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct the day-to-dayfunctions of the Elder Assistants and Medication Technicians inaccordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines thatgovern the long-term care facility.
Ensure that the written policiesand procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursingservice department are followed by all nursing personnel assignedto you.
Cooperate with other resident services when coordinatingnursing services to ensure that the resident’s total regimen ofcare is maintained.
Ensure that the nursing personnel under yourdirection are following their respective job descriptions.
Performadministrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports,studies, charting, etc. as necessary.
Participate in the facility’squality assurance program for the nursing servicedepartment.
Participate in the updating of the resident’s writtendischarge plan as required.
Assist in planning the nursing servicesportion of the resident’s discharge plan as necessary.
Participatein surveys (inspections) made by authorized governmentagencies.
Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerningthe activities of your shift are required.
Periodically review thedepartment’s policyprocedure manuals, etc. Make recommendations forrevisions.
Meet with your assigned nursing staff, as well as supportpersonnel, in planning the shifts services, programs andactivities.
Interpret the department’s policies and procedures topersonnel, residents, visitors, and government agencies asrequired.
Assist with admission, transfer and discharge residents asrequired,Maintain the Daily Census Report and submit to theBusiness Office as required.
Perform charting and documentationaccording to facilities policy and procedure manual.
Prepare,administer and document medication as ordered by physician andaccording to facility policy and procedure manual.
