This position is responsible for providinghands on, person centered resident care, wound care, proper andtimely administration of medications and treatments, accurateverbal and written reports and rapid response to any/all emergencysituations. State licensure required. Must be in good standing.

POSITION SUMMARY

: Provides hands on resident care, proper andtimely administration of medications and treatments, accurateverbal and written reports and rapid response to any/all emergencysituations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

: Performs professional andrestorative nursing services which include, but not limited to,resident assessments, recording of vital signs, administeringmedications and treatments. Keeps timely documentation of writtenreports and verbal reports ensuring that quality care is provided.

Interacts with the resident’s physician, pharmacist and medicalpersonnel as needed. Following the guidelines as outlined in theResident Care Plan; assists residents with activities of dailyliving including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, andmobility. Assists with in-service and on the job training andmentoring of Team Members. Participates in and attends all requiredin-service training and education programs as scheduled. Otherduties as assigned.

Full PhysicalDemands, Work Environment, and Expected Hours of Work:

The physicaldemands described here are representative of those that must be metby an employee to successfully perform the essential functions ofthis job. This position is very active and requires frequentstanding, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and climbing. Thisposition will be required to lift or carry weight up to 50 lbs. andability to push up to 250 pounds independently. The individual mustuse proper body mechanics to assist residents in their dailyliving. This position regularly requires long hours and frequentnight and weekend work.

TRAVEL:

No travel is expected althoughoccasional travel may be required for training sessions, continuingeducation opportunities, emergency situations, and other companyfunctions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Current statelicensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed VocationalNurse in good standing. Certification in CPR, AED, and First AidCollege or university degree desired. 1-2 years’ experience in asimilar healthcare position preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ANDABILITIES REQUIRED

Ability to read, write, speak and understandEnglish fluently. Ability to meet or exceed the company’sattendance and punctuality standards. Ability to use ElectronicRecords and miscellaneous software and office equipment. Ability tounderstand and follow directions as given. Ability to work withminimal supervision.
