POSITION SUMMARY
Resident Care Coordinator implements standards of resident careon a 24-hour basis in the AL/MC units of the campus. This positionoversees the nursing aspects, directing and evaluating of allAssisted Living, Alzheimer’s personnel providing direct residentcare within the campus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
: Maintains residents’charts to include all admission documents, care plans, records ofcare, and any other documents required by state regulatoryagencies. Operates the Assisted Living and Alzheimer’s areas incompliance with all regulations from federal, state, or any othergovernmental agencies having jurisdiction over the campus and actas liaison between the campus and regulatory agencies. Implementsthe administration of resident medications, assesses response tomedications and treatments and makes appropriate adjustments orrecommendations for nursing activity to be implemented.
Participates in and leads staff meetings and implements nursingprogram. Conducts daily resident rounds and initiates correctiveaction as necessary. Participates in and attends all in-servicetraining and education programs as scheduled. Other duties asassigned.

Full Physical Demands, WorkEnvironment, and Expected Hours of Work:
The physical demandsdescribed here are representative of those that must be met by anemployee to successfully perform the essential functions of thisjob. This position is very active and requires frequent standing,walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and climbing. This positionwill be required to lift or carry weight up to 50 lbs. and abilityto push up to 250 pounds independently. The individual must useproper body mechanics to assist residents in their daily living.
This position regularly requires long hours and frequent night andweekend work.
TRAVEL:
No travel is expected although occasionaltravel may be required for training sessions, continuing educationopportunities, emergency situations, and other company functions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Two
- or Four-year college oruniversity degree required.
Current LPN required. Two years’experience in a similar healthcare position required. Five years ofhealthcare experience desired. Remain in good standing with allstandards of the Nurse Practice Act.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ANDABILITIES REQUIRED
Ability to read, write, speak and understandEnglish fluently. Ability to meet or exceed the company’sattendance and punctuality standards. Ability to use ElectronicRecords and miscellaneous software and office equipment. Ability tounderstand and follow directions as given. Ability to work withminimal supervision.
