POSITION SUMMARY

The primary purpose ofyour job is to assess resident’s needs, develop an individualizedcare plan, administer nursing care, evaluate nursing care andsupervise nursing assistants and other personnel in the delivery ofnursing care. Such supervision must be in accordance with currentfederal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulationsthat govern our community, and as may be required by the Directorof Nursing Services or designee to ensure that the highest degreeof quality care is maintained at all times. Follows all health,sanitary and infection control policies and maintains establishedstandards of practice set forth by the community’s administrationand Nursing Policies and Procedures.

Education & Qualifications:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a LPNwithin the state in which you work.
• Must possess a current CPRcertification.
• Must be able to communicate in English and havethe ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Mustpossess and demonstrate the ability to carry out both verbal andwritten directions.
• Must possess and demonstrate goodinterpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to workwith supervisors, co-workers and community staff in the performanceof duties.
• Ability to observe proper safety and sanitarytechniques.
• Ability to work hours as scheduled based on therequirements of the position/assignment.
• Must not pose a directthreat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.

Experience:

• Previous experience in long-term care preferred, butnot required.
